Scheduled
Scheduled System Interface Testing of the fire and essential safety measures systems is taking place in the McFarlanes Hill Residence 1 and 2 on Monday 18 November between 11:00 and 12:00.
What is System Interface Testing? I&O will need to simulate a building fire alarm in buildings across the campus. This testing will set off evacuation tones and interrupt the building HVAC system for the duration of the testing in each building. Testing usually takes 30 to 60 minutes to complete in each building.
Fire System Interface Testing (SIT) is an Australian Standard requirement under AS 1851 – Fire Protection Systems and will provide LTU information on how to address any issues regarding the performance of the building fire and mechanical protection systems.
